Creditied with being the first to bring the LDS church to South Carolina in 1839, Emanuel Masters Murphy was both on the 15^th of September, 1809. This life history channels his marriage to Nancy Judd Easters (Easter, Estes), his conversion to the LDS faith and other events before his death in 1871. This work contains excerpts from Murphy’s very own personal journals, a collection of newspaper articles and many images of the family and important places. Also included are the pedigrees and family group sheets of his descendants known at the time of publication. First published in 1980
