You can quickly search hundreds of free databases from this page: http://searches.rootsweb.com/htdig/search.html Hint: If you have too many pages to search at first, limit you search with additional key words, like places. Then when you are on the database page remember that you can quickly search by Clicking on Edit and then Find in your Microsoft Explorer to pull up a little search box to search for any word in the document. (Don’t forget to look for spelling variations). Happy hunting!

A great site to search the 1841 England census is: http://freecen.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl . You can also view the Cornwall 1841 census on http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~kayhin/cocp.html#c1841 . To do a search on these individual typed pages, Click on Edit and then Find in your Microsoft Explorer to pull up a little search box to search for any word in the document. This search feature is really handy to use to locate ancestors on any web page.

The 1880 U.S. Census and 1881 England Census are available to search free of charge on the Family Search web site of the LDS church.

When you are looking up the index entry for marriage certificates from England online, you can click on the link to see who else is listed on the same page to verify that you have the correct person.
